Every member of the Bureau carries a clearance badge. It is our way of saying thank you for spending time here, and it comes in five colours: Ivory, Jade, Cobalt, Garnet and Onyx. Everyone starts at Ivory on the day they join.
Your clearance moves up as you play. Your account page shows the badge you currently hold. Guests do not carry a badge, since clearance belongs to an account, but joining is free and starts you off with welcome Stamps. There is no fee to move up, nothing to buy and no shortcut; Stamps are never sold, so the only route is ordinary play at whatever pace suits you.
What does a higher level do? It adds a loyalty boost to rewards from the Mailroom. A Dial turn, a Sealed Envelope or a Memo pays a little more at Jade than at Ivory, a little more again at Cobalt, and so on up to Onyx, the top of the ladder and a thank-you rather than a target.
Here is what it does not do. Clearance never touches game maths. A Garnet member and an Ivory member pressing the same game at the same stake are playing exactly the same game, with the same paytable and the same random numbers behind it. We built it that way on purpose, and How games work says so in writing.
Clearance is also not a race. Nothing about a level is designed to make you play longer than you meant to, and we would rather you reached Jade in a month of relaxed evenings than in a single long night. If you notice you are chasing the next badge rather than enjoying the games, that is a good moment to step away, and our Responsible gaming page has tools that help.
As with everything here, badges and Stamps have no cash value. They are part of the décor of the Bureau: brass, enamel and a little pride in the details.
Gaming Bureau is a free-to-play social casino for adults in the UK. For entertainment only: no real money, no in-app purchases, and Stamps have no cash value.
